(Neb.)- No. 12 Creighton Expects Big East Foes' Best Shot

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — No. 12 Creighton begins the second half of its Big East schedule on Friday night when struggling DePaul visits CenturyLink Center.

Bluejays coach Greg McDermott says he's couldn't have imagined the kind of season his team is having so far. Creighton is in first place in the Big East, has its highest national ranking of the season and is projected to be as high as a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament. The Bluejays also have the leading candidate for national player of the year in Doug McDermott.

Creighton (18-3, 8-1) shares the Big East lead with Villanova, which the Bluejays beat by 28 points on the road last month.

After hosting DePaul (10-13, 2-8), the Bluejays go to New York for a Sunday game against St. John's.
