(Neb.)-Ritzen named to RMAC All-Academic Second Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Chadron State’s Nikki Ritzen has been named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Second Team.

Ritzen, a senior from Chadron, has a 3.69 grade point average while majoring in business administration.

To qualify for all-academic teams, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution.

Ritzen, a four-year starter and three-time RMAC All-Academic honoree, is hitting .245 this season and has scored a team-high 20 runs. She’s also knocked in 10 runs and stolen nine bases.

Three other CSC softball players earned honorable mention. They are Amanda Einspahr of McCook, Ashlynn Marino of Fresno, Calif., and Rebecca Wetsch of Erie, Colo.

The RMAC All-Academic Player of the Year is Chelsea Rodriguez of Fort Lewis.
