(Neb)-Online HumanTrafficking Sting Nabs One
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - A North Platte man is in custody following a human trafficking sting by the Nebraska State Patrol.
30-year old Joshua Malsbury was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of enticement by electronic communication device and lodged in the Keith County Jail in Ogallala.
The State Patrol says Malsbury had been communicating through social media with what he though was a 15-year old girl but was actually an investigator posing as a girl.
Malsbury is accused of arranging a meeting in Ogallala with the girl and he was arrested when he showed up for the agreed-to tryst. The Ogallala Police Dept assisted in the operation.
The State Patrol urges parents to speak with their children regularly about online activity and the dangers that can be associated with it. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has information and tools for parents concerned about online safety.
