(S.D.)-Rapid City Police Identify At Least One Person Who Harrased Students At Hockey Game
(Rapid City) - The Rapid City Police Department has identified at least one person who allegedly harassed grade-school students from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation at a hockey game.
Police Chief Karl Jegeris announced Wednesday evening that criminal charges might be filed in the alleged incident during a Rapid City Rush hockey game. Chaperone Justin Poor Bear says students from the American Horse K-8 school in Allen were subjected to racial slurs and had beer sprayed on them at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Saturday.
Jegeris said officers have identified a main suspect who exhibited poor behavior during the game, as well as others who may have been involved.
He said his department will work closely with the state's attorney's office to ensure the case moves forward.
More details will be made available as the day progresses on this issue. More information from the press conference will be brought to you as well.
