(Chadron)-A candidate for Congress is going to be in the listening area soon, and would like to invite the public to make time in their schedule to meet with him. Col Tom Brewer (Ret.) is running for Congress in the 3rd District.  His hometown, and now home of record as a result of his retirement, is Gordon.  Due to recent medical complications, he has been unable to travel a great distance from the Lincoln area, because he needed to be close to doctors who could help treat his leukemia.

Now that his treatments have concluded, and prognosis for full recovery is greatly anticipated, he is planning a trip throughout North Central, Western, Central and Northeast Nebraska, beginning this Friday.  He has scheduled meet and greets throughout several communities, including Chadron.

Brewer had scheduled a meet and greet on Sunday afternoon from 2.30 to 4.30 pm, at the Legion Post in Gordon.  However, it has become necessary to move the meet and greet in order to accommodate another meeting to be held at that location.  He is now hosting the event at Prairie Pines, 900 W. 7th Street, Chadron, at the same time on Sunday.

People are welcome to come out and meet the candidate that afternoon and take advantage of the opportunity to get to know him and his political stance.
