(Neb.)-Chadron Officers Have Busy Fur Trade Weekend

(Chadron)-Officers with the Chadron Police Department were kept very busy Friday and Saturday night during Fur Trade Days as officers responded to multiple fight calls, multiple domestic disturbances, an injury accident during the parade, multiple criminal mischief calls, multiple parking complaints, several extremely intoxicated people, made three arrests and issued three MIP citations.
Early Saturday morning, July 13th, around 12:30 am, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the Regency Trailer Court. Officers arrested twenty year old Laticia Leftwich on an outstanding Dawes County Warrant and also issued her an MIP citation.
Around 1:15 am, officers responded to another call in Regency, a domestic disturbance, and arrested twenty three year old Kaneeshia Red Bear for 3rd degree domestic assault.
Approximately 5 miutes later, officers responded to a disturbance call in the 400 block of Main Street in reference to two stabbing/slashing victims. Chadron Fire Department transported two victims to the Chadron Community Hospital, where they were treated and released for their injuries. Officers subsequently arrested 47 year old Sherlynn Lame for three counts of 2nd degree assault and three counts of the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.
Later on Saturday morning, officers responded to the 300 block of Mears Street  around 9:30 in reference to a domestic disturbance. No arrest was made.
During the Fur Trade Days Parade, officers responded to an accident in the 900 block of Main Street were a parade participant was riding a racing lawn mower and the lawn mower ran over the lower leg of a young child. The child was transported to the Chadron Community Hospital.
Around 11:30 , just after the parade, a horse rider was bucked from their horse at the intersection of 4th and Maple Street. Officers responded and Chadron Fire Department transported the rider to Chadron Community Hospital.
At approximately 10:15 pm, offices responded to a rescue call in the 300 block of West Second Street were a female was reported as being down and not responsive. Officers issued 20 year old Teale Beguin a citation for MIP. The follow up investigation also lead to a second MIP citation being issued to 19 year old Jada Fisk.
Early Sunday morning around 2:40, officers responded to and broke up a loud party in the 500 block of Bordeaux Street.
Sometime after that call, but prior to 5 am, officers found that one stop sign had been torn down at 6th and Maple and another stop sign had been bent over at 8th and Maple Street as well as a large community trash dumpster had been pushed over and dumped into the alley between Mears and Lake Street in the 300 block.
