(Neb.)-National Parks Waive Entrance Fees For Veteran’s Day Weekend
(Gering)- In honor of those that serve and have served in the United States military, Scotts Bluff National Monument will offer free admission to everyone during the Veterans Day weekend, November 10-12.
“National parks preserve places that commemorate our country’s collective heritage – our ideals, our majestic lands, our sacred sites, our patriotic icons – which our military has defended through the years,” said National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis. “We are grateful for the service and sacrifice of military members, past and present.” “Historic trail ruts and works of the CCC are among the patriotic items preserved and protected at Scotts Bluff National Monument” according to Superintendent Ken Mabery.
The Visitor Center and the Summit Road are open daily from 8:00-5:00, the park trails are open from sunrise to sunset throughout the year. For more information about Scotts Bluff National Monument please call 308-436-9700.
