The 6th Annual Nebraska MarketPlace returns to Kearney Ramada Inn on Wednesday, February 21st. MarketPlace Conference makes a difference for small businesses and communities. Connie Harvey owns “Efficiency Counts” in Hastings, Nebraska. Connie is a regular attendee and feels her business is stronger and is developing better than expected, "due to the training and connections I have made at MarketPlace.”

“I encourage everyone running a small business, wanting to start their own business, or working with others to realize their dream of being in business, to spend a day at MarketPlace,” states Kyle Rosfeld, owner of The Sandhills Boot Co. “Personally, my business has shown increase each of the five years I’ve attended.”

Past surveys of entrepreneurs and small business owners who have attended Nebraska MarketPlace reveal that one of the top rated experiences at past MarketPlace events was participation in sessions focused on marketing and business success strategies.  In response to that popular demand, the Center for Rural Affairs is again featuring sessions on these topics.

Among the many marketing experts will be John and Scott Meyer from South Dakota. The brothers are co-founders of 9 Clouds, a digital marketing and education firm.

"At 9 Clouds we want to help you connect with your customers online. Whether you are looking to increase sales, promote an event, or spread a message, your audience is online waiting to hear from you,” said John Meyer. “In this session, "Marketing Across the Digital Divide" we'll introduce you to some tools and tips for effective online marketing, but more importantly we'll explain why all this social technology matters."

Keynote speaker Joanne Steele, Owner of Rural Tourism Marketing Group in Dunsmuir, California will present a message focused on “It Takes a Village to Create and Sustain an Entrepreneur”. Steele will also provide a break out session on Taking Control of Your Internet Marketing.

Cory Geffree, with Common Success from South Dakota will also share sessions on social media and “Opening The Doors to Internet Marketing”. More than 25 speaker experts will be featured in sessions across the topics of innovation, business development, finance, marketing and social media.

MarketPlace will also feature an exhibit hall filled with successful small business men and women, service providers and other valuable resources. Attendees will be able to meet with these folks throughout the day to ask questions, gather information, make connections, and network and gain exposure to key customers and unique businesses. A locally grown luncheon will provide more time to build connections and visit with fellow business owners, entrepreneurs, and service providers.

GROW Nebraska will again host the MarketPlace Store! Businesses attending are invited to bring their merchandise items, to offer their merchandise for sell onsite!
