Alice was born on March 29, 1932 in Gordon, NE to Paul and Lydia Eichenberger. She grew up on a farm outside of Gordon with her 6 siblings. On March 16, 1952, she married Maurice Turnbull, and they were blessed with 4 children. They lived on a ranch south of Gordon and later moved to a farm west of Hay Springs. After the death of husband Maurice, she resided in Wheatland, WY, where she helped raise several grand- and great-grandchildren before moving back to Chadron in 2002.
She enjoyed playing cards with her card clubs and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and tending to her flowers. Alice loved to have a “handyman” job to work on and watching football. She took great pride in her family and those she loved.
Survivors include son Chuck (Vicki) Turnbull, sisters Clara Reuter (Robert) of Gordon, NE and Dorothy Watson of Oklahoma, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Helen Hansen and Theresa Young, brother Albert Eichenberger, husband Maurice, daughters LaDonna Hallsted (Neil) and Vonna Feddersen, and son Maurice.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements for Alice Lydia Turnbull.
