11/27/2017 - Joseph Allen Fisherman

Funeral services for Joseph Allen Fisherman, age 32, will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the He Sapa New Life Church in Rapid City, SD with Pastor Larry Salway officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be announced.
Burial will be at the Pine Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Rapid City, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the T&T Center in Wanblee, SD. The second night will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the He Sapa New Life Church in Rapid City, SD.
Joseph was born on October 4, 1985 in Pine Ridge, SD to Darlene Black Bear and Ronald Lynn Fisherman Sr. He made his journey to the Spirit World on November 20, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Joseph is survived by parents Ronald Fisherman Sr. and Darlene Black Bear of Rapid City, SD; sisters Lyndsey Fisherman of Wagner, SD and Angel Fisherman of Prior Lake, MN; brothers Ronald Fisherman Jr. and Ty Fisherman of Rapid City, SD; uncles Marlin Hawk Wing of Pine Ridge, SD, John Fisherman Jr. of Flandreau, SD, Guy White Horse of Sandstone, MN, Everett Black Bear, Beryl Black Bear, and Herbert Black Bear Jr., all of Seattle, WA, Darrell Blue Bird of Pine Ridge, SD, and Jeryl Black Bear of Nespelem, WA; aunts Alvina Hawk Wing of Pine Ridge, SD, Sandra Bush of Long Valley, SD, and Feanette Black Bear, Lovella Black Bear, and Darla Black Bear, all of Seattle, WA; nieces and nephews Derrick Standing Soldier Jr. and Sharonna Standing Soldier of Wanblee, SD, Nyla Christensen, Luella Christensen, Remington Christensen, and Grayson Fisherman, all of Prior Lake, MN, Amerikis Fisherman of Wanblee, SD, Tyris Fisherman of Rapid City, SD, and Allen Red Buffalo and Daelyn Red Buffalo of Wagner, SD.
Joseph was preceded in death by grandparents Herbert Black Bear Sr., Rena Mae Ground Spider, John Fisherman Sr. and Ollie Hawk Wing; aunt Norma White Horse; and uncles Malcolm Hawk Wing and Elijah Hawk Wing.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Joseph Allen Fisherman.
