09/18/2017 - Wilma Whirlwind Horse

Funeral services for Wilma Ann Whirlwind Horse, age 53, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Deacon Calvin Clifford officiating.
A visitation service will be at 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Rosary Services starting at 7:00 PM on Sunday evening. 
Private burial services will be held at the family ranch.
Wilma was born to Elijah and Mae Whirlwind Horse on July 3, 1964. She passed away on September 11, 2017 in Rapid City, SD.
Wilma worked at the KyleHealthCenter for 28 years. She enjoyed her job and the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people. Wilma loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed capturing memories on camera; she was an avid reader and loved to relax with a good book or her embroidery. Wilma was a huge Elvis fan and had an extensive Elvis collection. She loved music and loved to listen to all genres. Wilma had a great sense of humor and a very positive attitude; she loved to joke and laugh. She always had a movie quote or a song lyric for any occasion. She was a good ranch hand and could be found in any pickup bouncing around the pasture.
Wilma was greatly loved and will be missed by mother Mae; sisters Judy, Carmen (Sam), Diana, Lisa (Allen), Mia, Lia, and Merti; brother Jonnie (Monica); and nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by father Elijah; brother Kevin Whirlwind Horse; sister Sally Ann Whirlwind Horse; grandparents Lincoln and Flora Brafford and Louis and Sadie Whirlwind Horse; and nephews Robert and Alan Whirlwind Horse.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Wilma Ann Whirlwind Horse.
