02/28/2014 - William Thomas Harrison Jr

Memorial services for William Thomas Harrison Jr. will be scheduled at a future date.
A memorial has been established for the American Heart Associations.
Immediate Survivors:
Wife: Joanne Cooper of San Pedro, California.
Daughter: Alissa Harrison of Sacramento, California.
Brothers, Robert (Bob)& (Sherie) Harrison, of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Larry & (Joey) Harrison of Bakersfield, California. 
He is preceded in death by his mother Eleanor and father William Sr. and his sister Margaret Goodson.
Bill was a loving father to Alissa Harrison; he also loved and participated in the raising of Kathy Fisher, Mike Fisher, Shelly Fisher and Paul Fisher, as well as Michael and Steven Cooper. He will be missed by his grandchildren: Jasmyn Harrison (25), William (23), and Matthew (21) Leavell and “adopted” grandchildren: Jaimie (16), Nathan (13), Amanda (10), and Ryan (8) from Steven (Lainie) Cooper; and Emma (13), Blake (8), Evelyn (8) and Jack (8) from Michael (Stefanie) Cooper.
Bill began his life in Chadron, Nebraska, attending Chadron High School and Chadron State College before joining the U.S. Navy in 1963. He was stationed in San Diego, California and Yokosuka, Japan. After his discharge in 1967, he worked for several different companies, as a technical advisor and maintenance mechanic working on heavy equipment including large plastic injection molding machines. Whether working or enjoying his retirement, he made friends easily with his warm smile, kind eyes and willingness to help anyone in need.
