Memorial services for Audrey Buckman, age 70, was Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore, OK with Father Oby Zunmaf officiating.
 A rosary is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at Craddock Funeral Home with a reception immediately following.
Burial will be at RoseHillCemetery in Ardmore, OK on the following Monday at 10:00 AM.

Audrey Buckman, aged 79, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 after a six year struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Audrey was born June 20, 1934 in Winthrop, Iowa, the eldest of seven children born to Leslie and Eleanor (Neilsen) Schmock.
Audrey attended grammar schools in Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota, before the family settled permanently in Southern California. She graduated from GardeniaHigh School in 1951. After graduation, she worked to earn tuition and board to attend nurse’s training at LA County General Hospital. She earned her Registered Nurse degree in 1956.
Later that year, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Buckman. The two were introduced on a blind date. Although she thought Bob to be a cute, but cocky little sailor, he eventually won her over, and they were married in Lomita, CA. Together they made a home in Davis, CA. Bob and Audrey enjoyed 52 years together. Two daughters were born of this union, Stephanie Ann and Maureen Rene. Audrey was a dedicated nurse and worked for the same Doctor for more than 30 years. In the mid ‘90’s the business was sold and the two of them called it quits together.
In addition to working and raising a family, Audrey was an active 4-H leader, member of St .James Catholic Church and later the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mr. & Mrs. Club, Rotary Club, local Book Club, Bowling League and volunteering for the Hospital Auxillary Surgery Center. Audrey will always be remembered for her love of family, her pride in her children and grandchildren, her intelligence and social outgoing nature.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Robert of 52 years; Sister’s, Margarete (Johnny) Burrows, and Rosalind Miller; Brothers, Eddy (Pat)Schmock and Leo Schmock.

Immediate Surviviors:
Brothers: Skip Schmock of LincolnCity, IR and Bill (Judy) Schmock of Phoenix, AZ
Daughters: Stephanie (Don) King of Chadron, NE and Maureen (Greg) Somerville of Ardmore ,OK;
Grandchildren: Olen King, Taylor (Joel) Schommer, Skylar, Spencer, and Reese Somerville
Great Grandchildren: Jaydyn and Jett Schommer.
She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Willows Assisted Living and Memory Care Home and Hospice Plus for their care and support of our dear mother.
