(Neb.)- Bulldogs Bury Cardinals With 3-Point Flurry
(Chadron)- Powered by 9 made three pointers, Alliance defeated the Chadron boys 59-44 on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs also went 11-of-16 from the free throw line to just 3-of-8 for the Cardinals.
It's Chadron's fifth loss in a row since losing to Gering on January 19th.
The Cardinals were able to grab the lead early in the game and took a 10-7 advantage in to the 2nd quarter. After the first 8-minutes were up, the Bulldogs started knocking down shots from the outside, including a long three from Joel Baker just before the break to give Alliance a 25-19 halftime lead.
The threes kept dropping in the third quarter as the Alliance extended their lead out to 45-27, and the Cardianls couldn't find an offensive answer of their own.
Cooper Heusman led Chadron with 10-points on the night, the only Cardinal to reach double figures.
The Cards now sit at 7-10 on the season ahead on Friday's showdown with St. Thomas More in Rapid City. Tip time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
