(Neb.)- Cardinal Boys Fall At Sidney
(Chadron)- Chadron couldn't hold on to a 28-22 third quarter lead as the fell to Sidney on the road Friday night 50-43 for their 3rd loss in a row.
Neither team built more than a three to four point lead over the entirety of the 1st half but Chadron pulled the last punch before halftime as Jeff Cerny knocked down a free throw line jumper to give the Cards a 23-22 hafltime lead.
Chadron extended their lead early in the third quarter on five quick points from Coy Bila, but Sidney proceeded to go on an 11-0 run to take a 33-28 lead before Brayden Richardson's running bank shot pulled the Cards back to with in three.
Sidney mainted a 5-point lead through most of the fourth quarter and had grown it to 50-40 with under a minute left in the game before Cooper Heusman knocked in a three pointer.
Bila finished the night with 13-points while Richardson tallied 9 and Heusman added 8.
The Cardinals are under .500 at 7-8, for the first time in 2018.
Chadron host Douglas at 5:00 p.m on Saturday at the Bird Cage.
