(Lincoln)- The Nebraska Men's and Women's basketball teams split scrimmages with Iowa State on Sunday.

James Palmer Jr. dropped in 23-points to lead the Husker men over the Cyclones 92-84.  Nebraska led 43-34 at the half, allowed Iowa State to climb ahead 68-62, but the Huskers used an 11-0 run to reclaim the lead and never gave it back.

Hannah Whitish scored 23-points of her own, but the Husker women came up on the short end 64-62 against the Clones.  Nebraska led 60-59 with just under 50-seconds remaining, but Iowa State All-Big 12 guard Bridget Carleton completed a 3-point play gave the Cyclones back the lead, and the Huskers never got back over the hump.

Both the Husker men and women start their season on November 11th at Pinnacle Bank Arena.  The women host Souther Illinois-Edwardsville, the men welcome Eastern Illinois.  Neither tip off time has yet been announced.
