By: Jeremy Anderson Posted at: 02/12/2014 09:59 AM
(Chadron)- The Chadron State College wrestling team will close out its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference dual schedule by hosting No. 15 Adams State at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Nelson Physical Activity Center.
Since the dual is billed as a "Blackout," Chadron State head coach Brett Hunter encourages all fans to wear black clothing.
After defeating Dickinson State and Colorado Mines last week, the Eagles have an 11-5 dual record and are 4-2 in the RMAC.
Adams State is 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the conference after falling to Western State 20-12 and beating Colorado Mesa 24-18 last week.
The Grizzlies' leader is senior Ryan Fillingame, who is ranked No. 1 at 141 pounds this season after finishing second at that weight at the 2013 National Championship.
The Eagles are paced by senior co-captains Dustin Stodola, who is 23-0 at 133 pounds, and Jordan Debus, who is 12-1 at 184. Stodola is fourth and Debus eighth in the national rankings.
After the dual with Adams State, the Eagles will have just one more regular season dual when they host Nebraska-Kearney on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
