(Wyo.)- Kaligis Is Only Holdover From Christensen Staff For Pokes

By: Jeremy Anderson Posted at: 02/07/2014 10:57 AM
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Pete Kaligis is the only assistant coach from Dave Christensen's staff who remains with Wyoming under new coach Craig Bohl.

Kaligis says that he feels blessed to be a part of Bohl's staff even if his position has shifted within the team.

Earlier this month, Bohl announced that Kaligis would switch from coaching running backs and offensive linemen to defensive tackles next season.

The Cowboys allowed 220.2 rush yards per game last season, as opposing linemen and running backs wore down a thin Wyoming front and repeatedly burst through holes into the secondary.

Experienced defensive tackles Patrick Mertens and Uso Olive return, and Bohl signed three defensive tackle prospects this week.
