SPRINGFIELD, Missouri. (AP) - Ashton Glaser threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another in Missouri State's 35-21 victory against South Dakota State Saturday.
In his first start of the season, Glaser rushed 69 yards for a touchdown in the fourth and threw for a total of 126 yards. Ryan Heaston and Mikael Cooper-Falls ran for over 100 yards each as Missouri State amassed 352 yards rushing compared to the Jackrabbits 142 yards. Two touchdowns by Cooper-Falls helped set up a 20-0 lead at halftime for the Bears (2-6, 2-2 MVC).
Austin Sumner threw a touchdown pass midway through the third to put up the first points of the game for South Dakota State (4-4, 1-3).  The Jackrabbits picked up two more touchdowns in the fourth, cutting the lead to just six points with eight minutes left to play. Glaser's rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion ended South Dakota State's efforts to come back.
