(Neb.)-Cardinal golfers battle tough conditions at State Tournament
The Chadron girls golf team had a tough go of it Tuesday at the State Tournament in Columbus. Monday's first round got rained out, limiting the tournament to just 18 holes in cold, windy conditions Tuesday.
Kortney Hageman was able to record two birdies to lead Chadron by tying for 20th with a score of 101. Haleigh Shuck tied for 61st at 111.
After shooting a career best 89 at districts last week, Cali Crile struggled to a score of 114 and 71st place. Freshman Ahlaura Pourier posted a 131 and sophomore Brooke Roes rounded out the scoring at 156.
The Lady Cardinals finished 14th in the team standings with a score of 457. Minden was the state champion and Auburn's Hannah Brown was the top individual with an 80, ten shots better than second place.
