(Neb.)-Bila signs with UNK
Chadron High School senior Chance Bila will continue his wrestling career at the University of Nebraska-Kearney after signing a letter of intent Wednesday.
Bila went undefeated during the regular season as a senior at 170 lbs. His bid for a state championship was derailed after a leg injury suffered during his semifinal match led to Bila's first loss of the season. The injury forced him to forfeit his consolation matches the following day, resulting in a sixth place finish with a record of 37-3.
Bila is now healthy and will join a powerhouse UNK program at 174 lbs. The Lopers have won back-to-back Division II National Championships and produced seven All-Americans this season.
Bila will also compete in the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association Senior All-Star Dual this summer in Grand Island.
