(Neb.)-Hoop Shoot a success once again
CHADRON – Fifty-eight teams and more than 500 participants in eight different divisions competed in the annual Chadron State College Hoop Shoot last weekend in Chadron.
The tournament, which is organized by CSC basketball coaches Brent Bargen and Tim Connealy and is the biggest fundraiser for the two teams, was contested at the Nelson Physical Activity Center, Armstrong Gymnasium and Chadron Middle and High Schools.
“It's really nice to see that this tournament is growing,” Connealy said. “Twelve more teams played this year and so it's a good atmosphere and opportunity for the regional kids to compete and play basketball. I appreciate all the support we received from the campus and community.”
Four champions were crowned in each the girls' and boys' divisions. The results of the championship games follow.
