By: Andrew Lacy Posted at: 03/21/2013 10:18 AM
The Chadron State College men’s track and field is predicted to finish in second place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as released in the Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches Poll.

The Eagles, who finished third last season, received one first place vote.

Adams State is picked to win both the men’s and women’s RMAC titles.

Cody Hunt is the lone CSC representative on the preseason team. Hunt, who didn’t compete during the indoor season, has one season of eligibility remaining.

The CSC women’s team, which finished the 2012 season in fifth, is projected to finish fourth.

Both the men’s and women’s track and field teams open their outdoor season Thursday, March 28 at the Black Hills State Yellow Jacket Spring Open in Spearfish, S.D.

Including the meet at Black Hills State, the Eagles have nine competitions scheduled. Four of them will occur in California during a four-day stretch in mid-April.
