The Chadron girls basketball team led for most of the morning Saturday, but Wahoo came from behind late to beat the Lady Cardinals 66-60.
Chadron jumped out to an early lead behind 14 first half points from Peyton Hinn, who finished the game with 20, and Chadron had a 34-28 lead at halftime.
Briley Hannaford's basket with 4:40 remaining in the first quarter put her over 1,000 points in her high school career.
Chadron was able to push the lead to 10 in the third quarter but Wahoo caught fire and hit three straight three pointers to cut the lead to one at the end of the period. The Lady Warriors continued to shoot well in the fourth to get the win.
With the win, Wahoo finishes the season in third place in Class C1. Chadron finishes with a 23-4 record and fourth place for the second year in a row.
