(Neb.)-Chadron basketball games cancelled

The basketball games between Chadron and Valentine that were scheduled for Saturday afternoon have been cancelled due to weather.

Most of the panhandle is under a blizzard warning beginning at 5 p.m., which is about the time the games would have been ending. Valentine decided not to make the trip to Chadron to avoid having to drive home through the snow.

The Chadron girls' next game will be against Gordon-Rushville at subdistricts. They will play Tuesday night starting at 5 p.m. at Alliance High School. The next boys game will be Thursday at Red Cloud.
