CHADRON – Regis made 10 of 24 3-point shots and had just four turnovers Saturday night while winning a 76-57 decision over Chadron State in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's basketball game in Armstrong Gymnasium.

The Rangers, now 8-11 for the season and 7-8 in the RMAC, were five of 15 from behind the arc while building a 33-20 halftime lead and then made five of nine treys in the second half.

Four players did a bulk of the Rangers' scoring. Tae'lor Purdy, who was four of seven from 3-point range, finished with 22 points, Sarah Feeney scored 17, and Erica Von Stein and Miranda Martine came off the bench to tally 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Chadron State was led by 6-foot junior Kattie Ranta, who sank eight of 12 field goal attempts while scoring 19 points. Both Kate Simonton and Sadie Waugh added eight points.

Ranta also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds while Waugh pulled down eight. The Eagles out-rebounded the Denver team 43 to 24, but made just three of 21 3-point shots and had 24 turnovers, which Regis converted into 31 points.

Chadron State is now 3-16 overall and 3-12 in the conference.
