Matt Lordino returned from a pelvis injury that was once thought to be season ending to help Chadron beat Mitchell Saturday night, 58-38.
The senior guard didn't score in the game, but provided solid defense and smart decision making in a solid team win.
The Cardinals led by just four after the first quarter, but extended their lead to 33-19 at halftime. The margin stayed at 15 for most of the second half before Chadron pushed it to 20 by the end.
Spencer Eliason had another strong performance, leading all scorers with 27 points as well as 12 rebounds.
The Cardinals will hit the road next week looking to get back to a .500 winning percentage Jan. 11 at Alliance.
