(Neb.)-CSC Golfers Finish Sixth At Silver City

SILVER CITY, N.M. – The Chadron State women's golf team shot a 351 during the final round to finish in sixth place at the third Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament of the fall season Sunday at Silver City Golf Course in New Mexico.
 
Western New Mexico, which hosted the tournament, nipped CSU-Pueblo by one stroke (633 to 634) to win the team title.
 
Colorado Christian's Maria Manrique won the individual crown with a score of 150.
 
Chadron State had three golfers finish in the top 30. Karissa Moreland, who finished in 24th place, led the Eagles with a two-day total of 172.
 
Schuyler Wetzel shot an 87 both rounds to finish in a tie for 25th and Emilee Pilkington carded a 175 over the 36 holes to claim 28th.
 
Also for Chadron State, Emma Harris shot 178 and Darcy Vernon shot 180.
 
The Chadron State golf team will resume its schedule in the spring with a tournament hosted by Montana State University-Billings on March 15.
