(Neb.)-Chadron golfers finish fourth in Alliance
The Chadron girls golf team shot one of its better team scores of the season with a 374 to place fourth Saturday at the Alliance Invite.
Kelli Haynes had an off day, shooting an 87 and failing to medal. On the bright side for Chadron, the rest of the team posted some of their best scores of the season. Taylor Strotheide posted a 93 and Cali Crile broke 100 for the first time in her career with a 97. Kortney Hageman also shot a 97 and Haleigh Shuck finished at 100.
All five of Chadron's golfers qualified for the Best in the West meet, the first time that's happened in school history.
Scottsbluff won the meet with a team score of 343, five shots better than their rivals from Gering, who finished second. Kaitlyn Kryzyanowski was once again the top individual, shooting an 81 for the Bearcats.
The Lady Cardinals' next competition will be Wednesday at the Best in the West at Monument Shadows in Gering.
