(Neb.)-Chadron golf finishes second at Valentine
The Chadron girls golf team bounced back from a rough outing in Scottsbluff to take second at the Valentine Invite Thursday.
Kelli Haynes was the top individual once again, beating Valentine's Shawna Wheeler in a two hole playoff after both shot an 84.
Taylor Strotheide placed fifth with a 91 and Cali Crile finished tenth with a 101. For Crile, it's the best score of her career. Head Coach Curt Holmquist said she is continuing to improve and hopes to break 100. Haleigh Shuck rounded out the team with a 110, more than 10 strokes better than her previous best on the Valentine course.
The Lady Cardinals' team score of 386 was good for second place behind a 379 from West Holt. Their next tournament will be Saturday in Alliance.
