(Neb.)-Callahan to be honored at state baseball tournament

Andy and Pam Callahan of Chadron will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to open the Nebraska State Junior Legion Baseball Tournament on Saturday, July 21.

The Callahans will throw the pitch in tribute to their son, Sgt. Jeremiah "J.C." Callahan, who died in a car crash in California on Valentine's Day.

The ceremony will begin prior to the first game of the tournament at about 10 a.m. at the Maurice Horse baseball complex in Chadron.

Chadron will play the final game of the day against Crete at 8 p.m.
