(Neb.) - WNCC basketball camp
By: John Thayer Posted at: 05/23/2012 11:09 AM Western Nebraska Community College will be holding a girls’ basketball skills camp June 18-21 at Cougars Palace.
The camp is for girls in grades 1st through 9th. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a T-shirt. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The camp is designed to give campers a competitive opportunity to develop the fundamental skills of basketball. The camp will teach the camper basics such as passing, shooting, dribbling, pivoting, as well as offensive and defensive situations. The camp will involve different stations with individuals going through skills to mold their game.
The basketball camp will be directed by WNCC women’s basketball coach Dave Harnish, along with assistant coach Ipek Turkyilmaz, along with local Cougar women’s basketball players Mikayla Brower of Torrington, Ashley Stevens of Bridgeport, and Jessica Aratani of Morrill..
