KEARNEY – Renen Sahr of Gordon-Rushville is looking to make a push on the final day of the Class C State Golf Tournament at Kearney Country Club in Kearney.
Sahr finished day one with a 79 (+8) after enjoying two birdies and six pars. He did post a bogey on 10 holes, but nothing worse.
A surge won’t be easy as the clubhouse leader, Mitchell Klooz of Plainview, is 3-under after day one. No other golf is currently under par. Including Sahr and Klooz, 15 golfers are 8-over or better.
Sahr is scheduled to head off the No. 1 tee box at 9:50 MT.
