(Neb)-Scottsbluff Reaffirms Commitment To Joint Industrial Park
SCOTTSBLUFF - The Scottsbluff City Council Monday evening reaffirmed its support of the city's joint industrial park with Gering, agreeing to allocate up to $1 million dollars of Scottsbluff’s LB-840 funds to qualifying businesses wanting to buy land there.
Scottsbluff City Manager Nathan Johnson tells KNEB News the cities intend to work collaboratively to retain, expand and recruit businesses to the region with the industrial park part of that effort.
A qualifying business that buys or proposes to buy land in the industrial park may apply for LB-840 money from either or both cities, and Johnson says both cities will be involved in the application process.
The involvement could including holding joint LB 840 Application Review Committee sessions to review and approve applications, which would not preclude either city from acting on its own if an application is made to only one of them.
