(Wyo)-UW Presidential Evaluation To Add Outside Consultant
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - University of Wyoming President Laurie Nichols is preparing to undergo her first job performance review, but spokesman Chad Baldwin says while the review is standard, the university is paying an outside consultant to assist in the evaluation for the first time.
Baldwin tells the Laramie Boomerang the Board of Trustees' rationale for hiring a consultant is that presidential evaluations are complex and involve a lot of internal resources, and that a third party provides a degree of neutrality and transparency.
The consultant will be paid $160,000 plus travel expenses.
Nichols was appointed UW president in December 2015 and took office May 2016.
