(Neb)-Chadron High Marks End Of Semester With Community Service  Listen

By: John Axtell Posted at: 12/21/2017 10:38 PM
Today is the last day of the fall semester and the last day of classes before the Christmas break for the Chadron Public Schools with classes dismissing at 1:30. For Chadron High School, it was also the 3rd annual Service Day.

Principal Jerry Mack says the last day before Christmas had been used for special programs for several years before the idea of a service day was proposed in 2015.

   PLAY SOUNDBITE

Students and staff spent the morning working at different sites - businesses, community organizations, homes, and the other schools in the district - with projects as simple as cleaning back rooms or stocking shelves.

The Chadron High Cardinal Singers put their talents to use by singing at a number of locations around town. Among the homes and businesses they visited were the KCSR and KBPY studios, providing mini-concerts with our listeners.
