CHEYENNE, Wyo. (ASSOCIATED PRESS) - Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead says he plans to make an official announcement on Tuesday that he will see re-election to another four-year term.

The 51-year-old Republican governor says he believes Wyoming is in better shape now than it was when he took office. But Mead says he still has many ongoing projects he wants to complete.

Mead says he wants to continue to work on diversifying Wyoming's economy and wants to address water projects around the state.

Mead faces two declared opponents in the Aug. 19 Republican Party primary: State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill and Taylor Haynes, a Cheyenne doctor who has served on the board of trustees at the University of Wyoming.

No Democrat has announced for governor.

Mead plans his formal announcement Tuesday in Cheyenne.
