(Neb.)-Flooding Causes Road Closures In Sioux County

(Harrison)-Flooding continues to be an issue in Sioux County. Rachel Mader with the Sioux County Road Department said there are now several road closures as a result of snowmelt runoff. Closures include Johnson Draw, Buckley Road, North Henry Road, 33 Road, and North Morrill Road.
Mader said crews can see some washouts, but a lot of the roads are still under water. She said the water is running fast, up to a foot deep or more in some areas, and is enough to move a pickup. Conditions are still as treacherous as they were on Thursday.
Mader urges area residents to exercise caution. If there is water on the road, she says not to try to cross it because there is no guarantee there is a road underneath the running water. She will keep KCSR/KBPY updated so we can pass along any information to our listeners.
