(Neb.)-Good Food, Tree Help All Available At The Spring Preview
(CHADRON)-There will be food options galore at the KCSR/KBPY Spring Preview Home Show taking place this weekend, Friday-Sunday, March 7th-9th. The food vendor this year is Grandma's Lunch Wagon, operated by owner Barney Reece.
Breakfast options at the Preview will include carmel rolls, biscuits and gravy, eggs, and breakfast burritos. Lunch and supper menu items include cabbage burgers, roast beef sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, hot dogs, hamburgers, sloppy joes, homemade soup and chili, and grilled cheese sandwiches. There will also be pretzels, macaroni and potato salads, nachos, and giant pickles. For dessert, options abound with brownies, four varieties of cookies, three kinds of cake, candy bars, candy rings, and candy push-ups, not to mention 14 different flavors of pie, including cherry, blueberry, pecan, peach, chocolate cream, lemon meringue, sour cream raisin, and butterscotch.
If you come only for the food, you’re sure to enjoy yourself, but there is so much more to see and do at the Spring Preview. For instance, on Sunday afternoon, three members of the Chadron Tree Board, Nebraska state forester Doak Nickerson and certified arborists Scott Schremmer and Bill Roberts, will give a presentation on trees and how to help them recover this spring after the damage wreaked on them by Winter Storm Atlas last October. The three presenters will discuss tree topics such as pruning and replacing trees and will host a question and answer session as well. This free opportunity is scheduled to take place in the Pine Room at the Spring Preview at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Entrance into the Spring Preview each and every day is free. The Preview begins on Friday, March 7th, at 5:00 p.m. and will run until 8:00 p.m. Hours on Saturday will be 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., and on Sunday from noon-4:00 p.m.
