(Neb.)-Chadron Students Advance To State History Day Competition
(Chadron)-Last Friday, over 80 students from across the Panhandle submitted National History Day projects for judging at the regional NHD competition that was held at Chadron State College. Chadron Middle School Principal Nick Dressel congratulated all the students in his blog at chadronschools.org, and said the school had twenty-six students submit fifteen projects in the competition.
Several students from CMS qualified for the State NHD competition, which will be held on April 12. Joe Matt, JashwaAlan Cummings and Zayne Jones will present their exhibit, Treaty of Versailles; Claire Margetts and Abby Hyer will present their exhibit, Ida B. Wells; Alpine Hickstein was selected to present her exhibit, A.I.M.; Sam Rischling will present his exhibit, New York Draft Riots; Kat Dodd will present her citizenship project, Newsboy Strike of 1899; Evelyn McEwen will present her Documentary - The Irish Potato Famine; and Kellie Waugh and Anabel Gardner will present their Website - Mary Surratt.
