(CHADRON)-At their meeting Monday night, the Chadron city council decided to recommend Urban Development Services out of San Antonio, Texas, as the company to provide services to the city as it moves into the first phase of its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) downtown revitalization project. The money for this phase of the project is already available to the city in the form of CDBG grant funding. The council also decided to approve five-foot sidewalks on the south side of First Street between Main Street and Pine Street in connection with the Main Street and First Street stormwater project and specifications for a post frame building for the water plant as well as authorizing notice to bidders.
The council entered into executive session to discuss Fiscal Year 2013-2014 salaries for city manager Wayne Anderson and city clerk Donna Rust and decided to wait to hear a presentation on the proposed swimming pool project at their December 16th meeting as opposed to scheduling a special city council meeting. Dave Burbach of Burbach Aquatics, Inc. also plans to be at that meeting.
