(Chadron)-The KCSR/KBPY and Chadron Chamber of Commerce Parade of Lights will be taking place on December 6 this year, and entries are being sought for floats and Snow Princess.

Young ladies in the KCSR/KBPY listening area are being invited to participate in the annual Parade of Lights by submitting their entries to be the 2013 Snow Princess of the parade.

Girls must be between the ages of 8 and 12. Parents can submit a picture of their daughter, along with contact information, to the radio station business office at 226 Bordeaux in Chadron, or email the entries to jodee@chadrad.com. Entries must be received by noon on Friday, December 6.

One name will be drawn from among the applicants and announced that afternoon. The Princess will then preside over the parade and ride in a float on Saturday evening. There is no entry fee.

Those interested in submitting a float for the parade can pick up an entry form at the KCSR/KBPY studios located at 226 Bordeaux in Chadron. Participants must be at the 1st Street check-in point by 5:30 pm sharp, and the parade will begin at 6:30.

Prizes for the parade include $25 in cash and $25 Chamber Bucks for third, $50 in cash and $50 Chamber Bucks for second, and $75 in cash and $75 Chamber Bucks for first place. The parade route will run from 1st Street to 5th street. To prevent injury to children, candy cannot be thrown from the floats or vehicles, but may be distributed by persons walking near the crowd. Forms received after December 5 will be placed at the end of the parade.
