(DAWES COUNTY)-In news just released from the Dawes County Sheriff’s office, sometime between the evening hours of September 19th and early morning hours of September 20th, 2013, an unknown person or persons entered the property of Littrel Construction at 5661 Highway 20 and set fires in two semi-tractor trucks parked on the property. The two vehicles sustained fire damage, a mid-1990s Kenworth and a 1994 Kenworth. It is unknown if an accelerant was used. There was also an indication that the individual(s) attempted to start some excavator equipment on the property because a radio was left on.

The Dawes County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s assistance in solving this crime. Sheriff Karl Dailey said the reason the office is just now releasing information on the crime is that they had a couple of leads they were working on before letting the public-at-large know what happened. If anyone has information regarding the circumstances surrounding this event, call Deputy Lee Sayaloune (SAY-LOON) at 308-432-3025 or the Dawes County Crime Stoppers at 308-432-0519. Persons can remain anonymous and could earn up to a $1,000 reward. Additionally, the owner is offering a second reward of up to $10,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the crime.
