By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 11/07/2013 11:01 AM

(Chadron)-The Dawes County Courthouse will be keeping its doors open a little later on scheduled days during the holiday season to allow people to see the Festival of Trees which will be set up in the building. The Dawes County Commissioners approved the hours at their meeting Wednesday morning.

The doors will be open from 4-8 pm on Saturday, November 23, which is the day after the trees are initially set up. The Courthouse will leave their doors unlocked until 8 pm on Friday, December 6, so people can venture in after the KCSR/KBPY Parade of Lights.

The Festival of Trees will feature decorated holiday trees on each level of the Courthouse for public viewing during regular business hours throughout the rest of the Holiday season.
