(Neb.)-Dawes County Commissioners To Meet Wednesday Morning
(DAWES COUNTY)-The Dawes County commissioners will be convening for a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday morning at the Dawes County Courthouse. On the agenda, highway superintendent Larry Hankin will provide road updates to the commissioners and will also participate in a discussion regarding contract approval for the Bethel Loop project. Representatives from the Chadron Congregational Church will approach the commissioners regarding a tree replacement in the courtyard and James Palser with Family Heritage will share information regarding supplemental insurance.
Also on the agenda, discussion regarding the tourism lodging tax, KONE elevator proposal, sprinkler system for the courtyard, working women addition, and courthouse hours during the annual Parade of Lights for those wishing to view the Festival of Trees the same evening. The commissioners will also discuss correspondence received from the National Association of Counties (NACO) regarding the annual audit report as well as information on a tort claim from the law offices of Crites, Shaffer, Connealy, Watson, and Patras.
The commissioner’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:20 a.m., following their Board of Equalization meeting that begins at 9:00 a.m. In that meeting, the commissioners will meet with assessor Lindy Coleman to discuss tax corrections and with treasurer Barbara Sebesta regarding 12 vehicle exemption renewals for Northwest Community Action Partnership, the ChadronCommunityChurch, and the BethlehemLutheranChurch. Both meetings are open to the public.
