(Neb.)-Open House Scheduled For Retiring Newspaper Editor
(Chadron)-The Chadron Chamber of Commerce is keeping very busy with many activities this fall. With many Business After Hours on the schedule, and Moonlight Madness coming up, Chamber members have many opportunities to socialize, and get the community involved in some fun.
The Chamber is promoting an open-house on Wednesday, hosted by employees at The Chadron Record, to honor long-time publisher/editor George Ledbetter, who will be retiring at the end of the month. According to The Record, Ledbetter was named editor in 2000, and added the title of publisher a few months later. The open house will take place from 3 to 6 pm at The Chadron Record office on West Second Street in Chadron, and refreshments will be served. Ledbetter will be staying in Chadron, although he does have plans to travel.
Another activity affiliated with the Chamber is Moonlight Madness. Meetings have been taking place for planning, with another one scheduled this week. The next meeting will be Thursday at noon at the Chamber Office. If anyone is interested in helping, they are asked to please contact the Chamber at 432-4401.
