(Neb.)-Chadron Man Found Dead In Apartment
(Chadron)-A Chadron man was found dead in his home last week. According to a press release from the Dawes County Attorney’s Office, 36-year-old Benjamin Lagate was found dead in his Chadron apartment approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
The discovery of Lagate came about as a result of concern by his landlord after not seeing Lagate for several days.
Officers from the Chadron Police Department and Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug were dispatched to investigate the scene. Officials conducted an extensive investigation of physical evidence, medical records, and interviews of medical personnel. An autopsy and toxicological screening was scheduled to be conducted this morning in Scottsbluff.
Results, if deemed appropriate, will be released when testing is completed.
