(Neb.)-Eagle Open House Scheduled For October
(Chadron)-For the second year, the Eagle Open House, an event that gives potential students a special opportunity to learn more about CSC, has combined with the Health Professions Showcase, during which high school juniors and seniors visit the campus to see the benefits of beginning their career in the health sciences at CSC.
Jill Mack, CSC director of health professions, and Ricci Sanders, CSC campus visit coordinator, said the merging of the Eagle Open House and the Health Professions Showcase, Oct. 16, makes sense. Last year, 180 students attended the combined event.
Students attending the Eagle Open House will tour campus and take part in advising sessions in the morning while those in the Health Professions Showcase will participate in hands-on activities and have the opportunity to see the CSC human cadavers in the morning.
Information about the Public Health Early Admissions Student Track or PHEAST program will be available for those who may be interested in eventually pursuing a master's degree in public health through a cooperative program between CSC and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
After lunch together at 11 a.m. in the dining hall, all students will attend combined informational sessions on housing, financial aid and MyCSC in addition to a student panel. Tours will be offered to students interested in health professions beginning at 2 p.m.
