(Neb.)-WNCC To Host Transfer Fair
(Scottsbluff)-Western Nebraska Community College wants to help students learn more by hosting its Fall 2013 Transfer Fair. The event is designed to connect current students as well as past graduates in the community with representatives from area four-year schools to discover what options there may be for continuing education beyond WNCC.
The event is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, and will take place in the main building on the Scottsbluff campus. WNCC expects to showcase more than a dozen schools from Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
Grace Hendrickson, WNCC Transfer Advising Specialist , said education is vital to future success and they want to give their students past and present every chance to explore what their opportunities should they choose to continue learning beyond WNCC. She said they at WNCC know the students' lives can be hectic, so bringing the information to their doorstep on our campus is the least they can do to facilitate their discovery of what options there are.
Admissions representatives will be on hand from University of Wyoming, University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, Clarkson College, Midland University, University of Nebraska - Kearney, Chadron State College, Wayne State College, University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Midland University, Bellevue University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Peru State College, University of Nebraska Medical Center, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and more.
