(Neb.)-Chadron City Council To Discuss Backyard Poultry, Next Year's Budget
(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council will convene for a meeting Monday night at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main St. On the agenda, discussion regarding revisions to the Land Development Regulations to allow backyard poultry within city limits and second readings on fee and appropriations ordinances for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 as well as a public hearing for the upcoming year’s annual budget.
The council will discuss resolutions regarding a consultant agreement with Olsson Associates for specifics relating to the Airport Improvement Program project, authorization of contingent funds for transfer to the Keno Fund, and progress estimates for Buettner Construction for sanitary sewer extensions in the East Niobrara Avenue addition and the Wood’s Lift Station replacement from Linden Street to Stockade Road.
A recommendation will be discussed for engineering services for the 200 and 300 blocks of Ash Street, and two new city employees will be introduced, Sam Mullins with the street department and Michael McKinnon in communications. There will also be a resolution to increase retirement benefits for city employees.
Normally the council meets the first and third Mondays of each month, but due to Labor Day this month, the council will meet on the second and fourth Mondays. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
